GREEK ORTHODOX WEDDINGS

The old Corfiot Orthodox church, Saint Eirini’s chapel within the nearby Danilia Village (5 kilometres from the hotel), is a fairy-tale setting for a Greek Orthodox wedding. Imagine a private village for you and your loved ones to enjoy your big day! Greek Orthodox weddings also take place in the neighbouring church of Ipapanti at Kommeno (1.2 kilometres from the hotel). A local priest performs the ceremony, and special permission must be granted for the service to be held outdoors. One of the two people getting married must be a Greek Orthodox, while both must be baptised in the Christian faith. The ceremony is performed in Greek.
